Richard Weldon is an experienced personal injury attorney and the managing member of Weldon & Rothman, PL. 

Richard provides aggressive representation for matters involving auto accidents, slip/trip and falls, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death. Over the past two decades, Richard has successfully represented hundreds of individuals and families throughout Southwest Florida in personal injury cases.

Richard has an AV® PreeminentTM rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest attorney rating awarded by that service.  He has also been recognized as AVVO Top-Rated Lawyer in the area of Personal Injury, and Top Lawyers – Personal Injury by Naples Illustrated. Earlier in his career, Richard was named Top 40 under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers and recognized as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.

In 2006, Mr. Weldon founded Weldon & Rothman, PL with the mission of providing Southwest Florida personalized, high quality legal representation; zealous advocacy; and an unwavering commitment to justice. The firm’s mission remains the same today.

Richard received his law degree from University of Florida, and received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.  As an undergraduate, he interned for then Governor Lawton Chiles. Richard attended high school in Sarasota, Florida, where he was born and raised.

As an active part of the community, Richard is a member of the Collier County Bar Association, Michael R N McDonnell American Inn of Court, The Florida Bar, and Florida Justice Association. In addition, Richard is a member of the University of Florida Alumni Association, Southwest Florida Gator Club, and North Naples United Methodist Church.  He is also a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Pelican Bay.

Attorney Weldon is licensed to practice in all of Florida’s state courts, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Morgan Jones - Partner

Morgan Jones is a civil trial attorney based in Southwest Florida, and a Partner with Weldon & Rothman, PL. Prior to becoming an attorney, Morgan worked as a Paralegal at Weldon & Rothman, PL, for five years, which has provided her with extensive knowledge relevant to providing personalized, high quality representation in the areas of personal injury and employment law. Specifically, Morgan provides representation for matters involving auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle accidents, slip/trip and falls, overtime (FLSA) claims, and unemployment appeals.

Morgan received her law degree from Stetson University College of Law. During her tenure there, she received Dean’s List Honors and was selected for the Victor O. Wehle Award, which is presented each semester to the outstanding student in each section of Trial Advocacy. Prior to law school, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is originally from Clewiston, Florida, where she was born and raised.

Morgan is a member of the Collier County Bar Association, the Collier County Women’s Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Section and the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar. In addition, she is also a member of the Florida Justice Association, the Southwest Florida Federal Court Bar Association and the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. She has also previously coached little league baseball for the San Carlos Youth Baseball and Softball League.
